Helsinki Christian Music School

Helsinki Christian Music School is a private arts educational institute registered with and supported by the City of Helsinki. The school was founded in the year 1983.

Our main teaching center is located in Hakaniemi, Helsinki. 

This school offers the possibility to study music creatively with professional musicians in different genres such as classical, pop, jazz, gospel and rock. We offer basic music studies for school-aged children as well as for adults. We also arrange and teach early childhood music education (musical playschool).

Requests for places are filled according to the order in which they are received.

You can study the following instruments:

  • piano, classical or pop/jazz
  • violin, viola, violoncello, double bass
  • flute, clarinet, saxophone
  • trumpet, french horn, trombone, tuba 
  • voice: classical or pop/jazz 
  • guitar, el-guitar, el-bass, drums

Everyone is required to bring their own instrument. Teachers will assist as needed to help find an instrument. The Music School also has some orchestra instruments available for rent.
